Why should you join the Hoover Alumni Association? The benefits are many and rewarding. Supporting the school and staff in their efforts to educate deserving young people is first and foremost. Seventy-five percent of your dues and one hundred percent of donations goes to students for scholarships. In 2001, eighteen talented graduating seniors were awarded $1,000 scholarships through the Dollars for Scholars program. Because of our affiliation with Dollars for Scholars, students attending a participating college or university receive matching funds from those institutions.

In addition, members receive the Hoover High School Alumni Newsletter twice each year in the spring and fall. The newsletter informs members of class activities and events. On the Memory Garden page classmates who have passed on are remembered. Messages from the foundation and alumni association presidents include information about programs and plans, which are ongoing or proposed. School and alumni news items are featured.

The alumni officers and board work to raise funds through donations and by the sale of Hoover products. Alumni select scholarship recipients, review student portfolios and act as mentors and tutors. This website is sponsored and maintained by the association for the benefit of all Hoover alumni.
